With private school tournaments complete and the Maryland state tournament winding toward its conclusion, it’s almost time for The Post to name its 2013 All-Met selections. While we’re a few weeks away from naming this fall’s best, here’s a look at what just some of the 2012 fall first- and second-teamers have been up to since last fall. Others featured on Division I rosters at No. 3 Florida State. No. 6 Virginia Tech, Rutgers and Maryland this fall.
All-Met Player of the Year Midge Purce: Harvard
Former Good Counsel standout Purce started 14 of 16 games for the Crimson, scoring 11 goals and adding four assists for a Harvard team that won its fourth Ivy League title in six years. Purce was named the Ivy League’s Rookie of the Week three times this season, and its rookie and player of the week for the week of Oct. 7-14.

First -Teamer Morgan Reuther: Virginia
Reuther helped terrorize WCAC defenses at O’Connell, and is now making an impact for the No. 1 Cavaliers. Reuther scored in Virginia’s 6-1 win over Maryland Sunday, and has played in 18 games and tallied a goal and assist so far this season.
Second-Teamer Caroline Kimble: Louisville
Kimble played in 15 games and started four for Louisville, which carried a No. 2 seed into the inaugural American Athletic Conference tournament before falling 2-1 to Memphis in overtime. Kimble anchored Good Counsel’s defense as the Falcons won three WCAC titles in her four years.
Second-Teamer Morgan Crable: Loyola (Md.)
The former Marriotts Ridge stalwart has started 15 of 17 games for the Greyhounds in her first season. She’s tallied an assist and three shots from the Loyola back line.

Second-Teamer Alli Cislo: Ohio
A four-year starter who averaged over 15 goals a season in her career at Old Mill, Cislo played in all 20 of the Bobcats’ games this season. Cislo scored three goals to help Ohio to a 7-8-5 record.
Second-Teamer Joan Fleischman: Harvard
Fleischman was a crucial part of Sidwell Friends’ 2012 ISL AA regular season title, and has already earned an Ivy League title in her first season with the Crimson. Teaming with fellow All-Met pick Midge Purce in Cambridge, Fleischman scored three goals and tallied two assists in 15 games and seven starts. Fleischman was named the league’s player of the week and rookie of the week Oct. 21-28 for her two-goal game against defending Ivy League champ Princeton. Purce scored the other two goals in that game.
Hutson, who played forward at Paul VI, played in 18 of the Volunteers’ 19 games and started one. Tennessee finished 10th in the SEC with a 3-5-3 conference record, and was 8-7-4 overall.

2012 Second-Teamer Megen Jackson: Salisbury
Jackson was the 2012 player of the year in the SMAC as a forward for Calvert, and played in all 19 games for Salisbury as a freshman. She was fifth on the team in points for the 10-5-4 Sea Gulls.
NUMBER CRUNCH: 6
The number of non-seniors on last year’s first and second All-Met teams. All six are committed to play at Division I schools next season, five in soccer and one, South River’s Kacie Longo, in lacrosse.

Volleyball: Maryland 4A North semifinal – No. 7 Sherwood vs. No. 8 Howard, 6 p.m.
It’s a shame matchup this has to come so early in the postseason when it seems more befitting of a state tournament contest. Nevertheless, the Lions will look to topple the three-time defending 4A champion Warriors.
